We made it!!
We are mostly moved into our new place. We like it...a lot. We had to have a late start today because Sean had a "recall" early this morning. Basically, all that is is training. His whole flight is "regaining focus" because some people made poor decisions this past week. Anywho, I call it punishment--he calls it "regaining focus." He has a better attitude towards it, even though he probably won't have a real day off for another month.
ANYWAYS- Our new place is so much bigger than our apartment! I love that there's an attached garage that fits my car, and not Sean's truck :) Our kitchen is bigger, our living room is bigger, our dining room is bigger, we have a laundry room, two bathrooms, stairs (haha, I like this because we've never had this before!), oh, we also have two huge closets!! Yes, Cathy, our upstairs closet is even bigger than our last one!!
Rochelau, Valladeres and Ellis came over and helped us so much today. Once again, these people will help us out whenever we need to. I am very thankful that Sean has made some amazing friends! V just tripped in today and without even going home to change or anything, he was more than willing to come and helped us. He just showed up at our apartment door in his ABU's willing to help us. So, since they were all helping us, I went and got some groceries and went to our apartment to get some more stuff. When I got back, the guys brought all of the groceries in and everything else in my car inside, too.
As promised, I'm making fried chicken tomorrow. Sean's request... and Vall, Rochelau and Ellis are all coming over for dinner. It's the least we can do for all they help they've given us. It's funny cause everytime they talk to Sean, they always say they want to come over for dinner. I guess Rochelau told Sean that he would marry me for my cooking if he or I weren't both already married. LOL! Who would have thought that compliment would ever happen!? Actually Sean even bragged about my cooking to Ellis last week. So, as a result, he'll be here for supper also. It's funny what some people will do for food. Oh! And Ellis introduced us to a good mexican restaurant today. Good, but not as good as LaCasa.
Our cats are adjusting. Gracie is so used to moving by now, she could care less. LC, on the other hand, has some adjusting to do. I think he'll like it once he decides to venture out of the closet corner he's been hiding in since 5pm!
Oh! And Sean just passed a test he's been really nervous about yesterday. He's been studying more than I ever did in college for this test that he had to take. It's a written test, a verbal test and an "action" test I guess you could call it. He had to do his moves on the test person to prove that he could do his stuff. (I know, lame terms, but I don't know what else it's called) Anyways, he did really good! He got a 92%....so proud of him! All last week it was almost impossible to be around him because he was so nervous and snippy. Not to mention, I didn't really get a chance to talk to him while he was tripped out this last time. This QC test is a test to qualify him to start studying for yet another test that qualifies him for leave. So, the sooner he's done, the better.
Ok, I'll try to upload some pictures of this place, but I'm on a wireless card so they might not upload. If not, I'll have to upload them tomorrow when the cable guy comes.
Goodnight!
Manda
